Poke is a marinated salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine. This dish has been heavily influenced by Japanese and other Asian cuisines.
Ingredients:
1 Lb. Seatech langostino lobster meat
6 Tbsp green onions finely chopped
6 Tbsp Maui onion finely sliced
2 Tbsp shoyu (soy sauce)
4 Tbsp mayonnaise
Sriracha sauce to taste
2 Tbsp pickled ginger finely chopped
tobiko (flying fish roe) for garnish optional
Sesame oil to taste
Salt to taste
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, soy sauce and sriracha sauce to taste. Fold in the remaing ingredients reserving a few chopped green onions and tobiko to garnish dish, and mix gently. Cover and refrigerate for one to two hours before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve with sticky rice.
Serve with macaroni salad.
Serve with a green salad.
