Poke is a marinated salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine. This dish has been heavily influenced by Japanese and other Asian cuisines.
500g / 1.1 lbs Ocean Kitchen Steelhead Tartar
1/4 cup Shoyu (soy sauce)
1/4 cup Chopped Green Onions
1/4 cup Chopped Sweet Onion
2 tsp. Sesame Oil
1 tsp. Grated Fresh Ginger
1 Chile Pepper Seeded (optional)
2 tsp.Toasted Sesame Seeds
2 tsp. Finely Chopped Macadamia nuts (Optional)
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients reserving a few chopped green onions to garnish dish, and mix gently. Cover and refrigerate for one to two hours before serving.
Serve with sticky rice.
